Band bio

Hollowstem is a five-piece grunge/alternative rock band from Anderson, Indiana, featuring Ethan Martin on acoustic guitar and vocals, Andrew Martin on bass, Brady Shields and Casper Willow on electric guitar, and Connor McCarty on drums. Drawing inspiration from Alice In Chains, Nirvana, Stone Temple Pilots, and Silverchair, the band pairs acoustic textures with heavy guitars, using drop and open tunings to form a sound of their own.

Hollowstem is building a place in Indiana’s local music scene through original songs and energetic live shows. Their songwriting explores struggles with mental health, a subject that matters deeply to the band, and brings those experiences into a space where people can connect through music. Having played venues such as Healer, Indy CD & Vinyl (The 808), and Carmel Porchfest, Hollowstem is looking forward to finding new stages, sharing bills with more local bands, and meeting new audiences across Indiana.
